Microneedling Pen - SkinOvations

Microneedling Pen

At SkinOvations, we offer microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy (CIT). The MicroPen EVO microneedling is a medical-grade, motorized device that uses fine needles to create tiny punctures in the skin. This process stimulates the body’s natural healing response, promoting collagen and elastin production, which can improve the appearance of the skin, reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and scars, and enhance overall skin texture.

The treatment areas include,

  • Face – treating wrinkles, acne scars, and overall texture.
  • Neck & Decollete – addressing sun damage, skin laxity, and wrinkles.
  • Body – for stretch marks, scars, and general skin tightening.

What should I expect?

What should I expect during the treatment?
While some areas are more sensitive, most people compare the sensation to sandpaper moving across the skin. Our medical aesthetician may apply a topical anesthetic before minimizing discomfort. Once the treatment begins, it typically takes 15-30 minutes, depending on the size of the area treated.

What should I expect after the treatment?
Some minor pinpoint bleedings may happen immediately post-treatment, followed by bright redness, which typically subsides after 2-3 days, depending on the level of treatment. The exciting perk of the MicroPen EVO is the immediate face glow as soon as the procedure is finished. Visible changes to the skin develop over several weeks. Results continue to improve up to six months after the treatment.

The procedure is minimally invasive with little downtime. Some patients opt for light MicroPen EVO treatments every 1-2 months to maintain their appearance. However, if the goal is to resolve specific skin irregularities, we might suggest a series of 3+ treatments at 4-6-week intervals.

Patients can also opt for Microneedling and PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) Combo therapy for enhanced results. After the microneedling procedure, a small amount of the patient’s blood is drawn, processed to concentrate platelets, and then applied to the skin. This combination can accelerate healing, improve collagen production, and address skin issues more effectively.
