Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a mechanical exfoliation treatment that gently rubs off dead surface skin cells and creates a smoother, softer appearance. It is a cosmetic procedure that exfoliates the skin using a diamond-tipped wand to gently exfoliate the outer layer of skin, often done in a series of passes over the treatment area. The vacuum feature of the device helps remove the exfoliated skin cells and stimulates circulation.

A combination of microdermabrasion and glycolic peel is often used together for a more effective result.

The treatment, known for its safety and comfort, is generally well-tolerated. It is typically quick, often lasting about 30 minutes, and requires little to no downtime. After the treatment, the skin may appear slightly red or sensitive, similar to a mild sunburn, but this usually subsides quickly and fully recovers within 24 hours.

Microdermabrasion is best suited for less severe scarring or hyperpigmentation as it mainly addresses issues on the surface layer of your skin. This process improves skin texture, reduces the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, and sun damage, and promotes a more radiant complexion.
